Calypso
Calypso (Starlet's Walking on Sunshine) is a 2-year old black & white tri-colored female bench Springer that we recently got from a breeder in Oregon. She is a beautiful example of an English Springer Spaniel, with the classic good looks in her face that many people love. Her personality is equally as classic, she is very friendly and a big cuddler with anyone who will pay attention to her. She would rather sit on the couch next to you or in your lap than anywhere else! We have had Calypso's eyes certified free from retinal disease through CERF.
We had planned to breed Calypso but unfortunately her hip x-ray wasn't good enough. Our vet says she may even get hip dysplasia herself someday, although at this point he suggested taking a "wait and see" approach or if we wanted a $700 surgery now would make sure there were no future problems. Hip dysplasia in its more severe form can cause arthritic pain and lameness in the most extreme cases.
We are so very disappointed we have to find a new family for Calypso because she is so sweet and loving and has one of the best personalities you could ask for. We know she will make a great addition to a loving family who is willing to take her in. We paid $900 for her and another $700 in airfare and testing, so we are asking $900 or best offer for her.
